Gay Wedding in Dublin City Hall

Liliane & Rebecca finally celebrated their gay wedding in Dublin last month and we were absolutely thrilled to be a part of it.

When Liliane arrived in Dublin, City Hall was one of the first buildings she visited and she thought it was so beautiful! Never in her wildest dreams did she imagine she would marry the love of her life, Rebecca, under that dome.

Relaxed Bridal Preparation

The brides decided to get ready in the same room making everything much more relaxed. Their bridesmaids were in another room at The Intercontinental and joined them to help with the final touches. While Liliane opted to wear a blue Hugo Boss suit, Rebecca chose a gorgeous sparkly Morilee wedding dress with a detachable train. They both looked stunning!

Civil Ceremony at Dublin City Hall

It’s no secret that City Hall is one of our favourite wedding venues in Dublin. The high ceilings allow so much light in… it’s a photographers dream. It’s absolutely incredible!

Rebecca and Liliane walked down the aisle together for their civil ceremony. Along with some personal readings, they also had a unity candle ceremony, with their individual candles being lit by two of their closest friends. It was beautiful to witness them taking their first steps as a married couple! Everyone was so happy for them.

Although some family members couldn’t be present, the brides were able to do a ‘zoom call’ after the ceremony to see them all. It was very emotional to see Liliane talking to her mother. After that, we did some family photos and couples photos inside Dublin City Hall. There were rainbow pedestrian crossings for Pride Month all over town, one of them being right in front of City Hall! Some of Lili & Rebecca’s friends had rainbow umbrellas too… We had lots of fun doing these photos!

For their wedding reception, the couple and their guests returned to The Intercontinental.

Kind Words:

Myself and my wife Liliane had a wonderful experience with Emmylie on our wedding day.  She put us at our ease and was a huge support to us. She made the photography experience for us so easy. It was very relaxing and effortless. Her photos are stunning and we are extremely happy with the service she provided. I have only positive things to say. We trusted in her every step of the way. I highly recommend Emmylie for your wedding photography”.
